Stephanie Young and William Cornelius Join Pursuit Center Board of Directors

Pursuit Center is pleased to announce that Stephanie Young and William Cornelius have joined our Board of Directors.

Stephanie Young is the Senior Vice President for Advancement & Alumni Affairs at Baylor College of Medicine, bringing 25 years of career experience that includes advising family foundations on philanthropy and governance, building collaborative partnerships, marketing communications, stakeholder engagement, and more than 20 years of direct experience in academic and hospital fundraising. She is the founder and president of SLY Consulting, whose local, national, and international clients include private foundations, biotech companies, philanthropists, and global healthcare leaders. Prior to starting her own firm, she was with MD Anderson Cancer Center for 16 years, rising to the position of associate vice president for development.

Earlier in her career, Young served as the Americas marketing communications manager at National Instruments in Austin and she worked in special events at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. Young is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and later continued her education and executive development through the Harvard Management Pilot Program at MD Anderson and other advanced educational opportunities. As a recipient of the Rotary Club International Ambassadorial Scholar Program, Young completed a nine-month advanced study program at the University of Guadalajara and is fluent in Spanish.

William “Bill” Cornelius is the Managing Director at Crutchfield Capital with extensive experience in investment banking, principal investing, commercial banking, and business operations. He has successfully executed private company mergers and acquisitions, sourced and provided debt and equity capital, and managed troubled company restructurings and bankruptcies. His personal experience in buying, operating, and then selling his own business provides a perspective that clients appreciate and value. He has advised clients, ranging from $10 million to $20 billion in revenue, across many industries and geographies.

Prior to joining Crutchfield Capital, Bill held leadership positions (including CEO, CFO, and board member) of several companies. He also served in various capacities at The Boston Consulting Group, Highland Capital, and Amegy Bank. Bill holds a BBA in Finance from Baylor University and an MBA from Duke University, where he graduated as a Fuqua Scholar. He is the President of the Houston Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth and is a member of the National Association for Corporate Directors.

Both Young and Cornelius are active members in the Houston community, where they currently reside with their families.
